Typing - Easy Home Row Words ***Reminder: you should work on your typing for 20 minutes.  If you are not done that is OK!  Go on to your math and sci/ss homework and if you have time left over before the end of your homework hour, then you can go back to typing and get as much done as you can.  No worries!

From Mrs. Blair: 1. READ!  2. Blog - Empathize with a character in your book.  Put yourself in their shoes.  How might they be feeling and why?  What might they be thinking?  What makes you think that?  Use evidence from the text to support your post.  As always, your post should be at least 6-8 sentences long and you should comment on two posts that you have not commented on yet.

Vocab word from Mrs. Blair: Radiate - to spread out like lines drawn from the center of a circle to the points on its edge.  To give off.  Ex: The fireplace radiated heat.

Social Studies:
1)  Evidence of Studying (Explorer Test Thursday!)
2)  Practice Prezi.  Go to the 5th Grade Website.  Find your Prezi on your page.  When practicing, remember to: make eye contact with the audience, use a loud clear voice, keep your body still, and present accurate information.  We will be presenting tomorrow!

Math: 1 sheet (2 sides): exponents; finding the missing number/sign; Due WEDNESDAY; show all work :)

From Mrs. Blair: 1. READ! 2. Blog - Use what you know about the characters in the book you're reading right now. Spin that into a prediction.

 A friendly reminder on blogging - Your post should ALWAYS be AT LEAST one paragraph long. You should always comment on AT LEAST two posts. Keep our checklist in mind. Also, think about who has comments already on their post. If someone has 2 or 3 comments on their blog for that night, then you should consider commenting on someone else's post. If you need a reminder on what a good comment looks like, check out the video on this blog.

 Vocab word: Conspiracy - Secret planning by a group of people to do something wrong or illegal.

Math: 1 sheet of multiplication due THURSDAY! Please solve ALL problems on the graph paper. Don't rush through all problems tonight. Solve 10 tonight and 10 tomorrow night, taking your time. You must use each strategy at least twice (array, partial product, algorithm). Make sure to staple your work to your answer sheet :)

Vocab word from Monday: Vigorous. If something is vigorous it requires a lot of energy. Ex: We had a vigorous hockey practice Friday night. I was exhausted by the end of it! From Mrs. Blair: 1. Blog a synthesis retelling. Start where you are in the book (or you may choose a book you just finished) and pull in important parts from earlier in the book and talk about why they are important to this part of the story. Must be a different book from the one you used yesterday in your chronological retelling. One comment for boy/girl, one comment for someone you have not commented on before. 3. READ! 5B ONLY - bring in your conference sign up forms!!!!
