Reading: 1. Blog - Two paragraphs about a BIG IDEA you are having in a historical fiction book. You may use Number the Stars. You may also include a theme or symbol. 2. MCAS practice due THURSDAY! 3. Reading Logs - 200 minutes!

NEW READING HOMEWORK SCHEDULE:
Monday: 1. Blog 2. MCAS practice due THURSDAY (This homework will only be for a month) 3. Reading Logs due MONDAYS 200 minutes.
Tuesday: Continue to work on MCAS practice and Reading Log.
Wednesday: Continue to work on MCAS practice and Reading Log.
Thursday: MCAS practice is due. Spelling HW.
**** The only days you will be getting something new are Mondays and Thursdays.

Friday is Cozy Reading Day in 5B.  You may bring in a sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, or stuff animal to snuggle up with while you read.  Wear your PJs!  All materials must go home at the end of the day on Friday!

Reading: Blog - About your historical fiction book - What is the setting?  Time period? Is trouble brewing?  How so?  What pressures does your main character face?  How are the characters reacting differently to events?  What does that tell you about that character?

Vocab: Boycott - If a country, group, or person boycotts a country, organization, or activity, they refuse to be involved with it in any way because they disapprove of it.
Ex: The main opposition forces are boycotting the election.
